Board of Directors

I understand and agree that my participation in the leadership of the market is vital to the Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative remaining an agricultural cooperative. Therefore, I shall serve as a member of the Board of Directors a minimum of once every three (3) years. The reserved space fee shall be waived for each member of the Board of Directors, during the season he/she actively serves.

Membership Certificate

I, the undersigned vendor selling in the Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative (NFMC), for myself, my executors, heirs, employee(s) and assigns, and for the privilege of doing business at the NFMC’s sales location, which is owned by CHFL LLC. and Wintergreen Property Owners Association, do hereby execute this agreement, to wit:


I agree to sell only products that I, my immediate family, and/or employee(s) or partner(s) have produced, grown or raised. I understand that partner means an active participant in production of the item being sold. I agree that I, my immediate family, and/or employee(s) or partner(s) will abide by the rules and regulations of the Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative. Further, I agree that upon written complaint, a representative of the NFMC may visit the site of the production of the goods that I have offered for sale to investigate any questions raised about the authenticity of said crops/goods or to inspect as recommended by the Board of Directors.


Furthermore, the undersigned does hereby release and shall hold harmless the Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative, a non-stock corporation, CHFL LLC. and Wintergreen Property Owners Association, from liability for any injury or damage suffered or incurred by the undersigned or by employees, partners, associates, etc. of the undersigned in their activities upon the premises of the NFMC. The undersigned shall exonerate and hold harmless the Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative and CHFL LLC. and Wintergreen Property Owners Association from any and all liability for injury or damage to third persons caused by the activities of the undersigned or its employees upon the said premises, including but not limited to, any costs, including attorney’s fees incurred by the Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative in defense thereof.
